Campaign for the Cathedral Parish of St. John the Baptist
The New Catechetical and Educational Building
As 2020 marks the 200th anniversary of our Cathedral Parish’s founding and the 150th anniversary of the Cathedral’s dedication, now is the perfect opportunity to begin a new chapter in the life of our Cathedral parish and to share it with others.
How our community has enthusiastically responded to this call! Parish ministries are expanding as people of all ages seek opportunities to enrich their faith. With this wonderful growth comes the challenge to expand our facilities to meet our current and future needs. Simply put, the current space we have is inadequate. -
We need to renovate buildings where we can and construct new buildings when we must. After many months of consultation, a plan has been created to address the needs of our parish community. We will be renovating our Parish Center, making it safer and completely accessible for people with disabilities and building a new 16 classroom Catechetical and Educational Building.
Your support would assist us to realize our dream of providing our people, both young and old alike, with a place to be safe, to know that they are at home in the Church, and to learn what it means to be the child of God that each one is!
